BLACKBIRD SET

The National Theatre D. Maria in Lisbon commissioned Joana Rosa to design the Set and Wardrobe for an interpretation of the David Harower Play Blackbird. The play is set in one space, in one time, with a dialogue which takes the characters to different places and times in their lives. The set, like the characters, has a history, achieved by the layering of objects and screens from different periods that continuously define space in time. It transports characters and public alike through this journey.
